Romantic Ensembles

To get this look, shop for pieces that are airy and feminine, in pastel hues. White or beige shoes with open work or straps like these work well. Layer on a chunky knitted cardigan for coziness and warmth. A beautiful pair of gold earrings would compliment it nicely.

Rose Hand Knit Open Crop Cable Jumper, $100
BANK Fashion - Kitsch Couture I Love ?? T-Shirt, 15 GBP
UNGER Fashion - Straight Leg-Jeans 'Billy' Blue - 29/34 - 30/34, 269 EUR
Maison Martin Margiela Leather Sequin Heel from Mrs H
Jessica Simpson Karma Hobo, $78

This is a soft, casual look that can be achieved with a regular soft tee you have at home, a handmade pullover sweater, and a pair of your oldest, best fitting jeans. Add some brown boots and a floral hobo, and you're good to go.

Both of these outfits would be nice and sensual for your special date with your Valentine.

It Girl Knits by Phonex Bess

Phoenix Bess is an amazing person that has been designing knitted garments since the age of 13. She has a knitting pattern line and has published designs in magazines such as Knit Simple, Knitscene, and Creative Knitting. She also sells her knitted pieces online through her online store, and in boutiques. I like how Bess designs what she would wear herself, and how she loves natural fibers.

Her latest publication, "It Girl Knits" is a pattern book filled with the cutest styles for any age, but especially for young women, and girls. It contains 30 unique styles, that are figure flattering and so stylish. The "Designer Carryall" pattern makes up a super chic bag, perfect for any season. There are also very pretty knitted swim suit and bikini patterns for summer!

Overall, this is a feel good book, that has fresh knitting ideas, that you can look at with friends, and admire. Start a new project and have fun with it!

Rodarte Hand Knits

Source for image above: Just Jared

On the cover of the upcoming month of Vogue Magazine, Rachel Weisz is wearing a gorgeous hand knitted dress by high fashion label Rodarte. It is a openwork piece with a sort of deconstructed feel, in gorgeous rich colors.
This is the dress featured on the cover of Vogue Magazine, October 2008 issue.

I love how fresh this design is, from the Fall 2008 Ready to Wear Rodarte collection.

This one is gorgeous because it looks "painted" on.

This design is mod-gothic in my opinion ;) The tights leave just enough to the imagination, and give the designs the perfect artistic touch, leading the eye length wise down the form. Stunning.

Lust for Lace

Lace is dreamy and can be quite fresh against the skin. If you feel as if it is itchy, layer it over a gorgeous smooth fabric such as silk or satin. Lace makes you feel feminine and pretty, even during the worst conditions. Add some to your wardrobe to round out your look, or even to add a vintage flair, if you are so inclined. It can soften even the roughest, most grungy looks. Lace has been around for ages, and will continue to be in style, for all time.

Floral Prints and Flowering Design Elements

Women should take complete advantage of floral prints and design elements because it is almost exclusively feminine. Other than the fact that men wear flower boutonnieres on their lapels for formal events, they almost never, if ever, wear floral prints or flowers in general. Ladies, lets keep this trend all to ourselves!
